The Australian Council of State and Territory Emergency Services (ACSES) has as
its vision to maximise State and Territory Emergency Services' contribution
towards safer communities.
ACSES strives to achieve this by:
-
Exchanging knowledge, information and initiatives relevant to public safety.
-
Exchanging knowledge and information on operational and management issues.
-
Developing and implementing a best-practice learning and development framework.
-
Enhancing the profile of the State and Territory Emergency Services, and
improving the level of recognition of our volunteers.
-
Developing equipment evaluation processes and exploiting common acquisition
opportunities.
-
Developing partnerships with other national representative bodies.
Comprised of the heads of the eight State and Territory Emergency Services,
ACSES meets several times each year to discuss and act on initiatives that will
benefit all SES volunteers, and, as a result, the communities they serve.
